This card is taking forever. It has gone on a lot longer than I thought. The bird has been very difficult to draw, because of the sharp angles involved. I haven't had to do any major do-overs. However, there has been a lot of re-drawings of the same particular features just to get a somewhat accurate portrayal of angles and proportions. I am entering the home stretch now. As you can see in this inverted colors example, I am in the process of drawing the legs and claws. After those are done, I just have to draw the perch feature and the text, and that is it! The next card is going to be even harder to draw, but I won't be spending as much time on the background.
